The film is about a family that broke up years ago and reunites. Sedat goes to prison for murder. Because of this, he divorces his wife Nevin. Nevin raises their children Ayşe and Murat alone. She tells them that their father is dead. When the children grow up, Nevin begins to struggle financially. Despite still loving her husband, she decides to marry the famous industrialist Orhan, believing that this will allow her children to live more comfortably. Sedat, who spent years in prison working as a musician, is released. He befriends Ayşe, who aspires to become a singer. The growing closeness between Sedat and Ayşe will lead to the revelation of all the truths.

Activist Kim Min-soo is a fugitive from the law as a result of his political campaigns. As he goes into hiding, he meets and falls in love with Lee Sun-young, a music graduate with plans to study abroad. But not long after, they begin to face obstacles. Because of Min-soo's fugitive status, Sun-young has to cancel her plans to study abroad in order to protect Min-soo. Eventually, the couple elope and Sun-young becomes pregnant, but eventually, the police finds Min-soo and arrests him.

L'elisir d'amore (The Elixir of Love) is a comic opera (melodramma giocoso) in two acts by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti. Felice Romani wrote the Italian libretto, after Eugène Scribe's libretto for Daniel Auber's Le philtre (1831). Written in haste in a six-week period,[1] L'elisir d'amore was the most often performed opera in Italy between 1838 and 1848[1] and it has remained continually in the international opera repertory. Today it is one of the most frequently performed of all Donizetti's operas: it appears as number 13 on the Operabase list of the most-performed operas worldwide in the five seasons between 2008 and 2013.[2] There are a large number of recordings. It contains the popular tenor aria "Una furtiva lagrima," a romanza that has a considerable performance history in the concert hall.
