The main circle (character) is slightly pinker than the other grey circles (people) and she thought she was very special. But she is very grey in a colourful world. She will find out that grey is not just a boring colour.

Inspired by Italo Calvino's "Invisible Cities," in which the Italian author suggests that what constitutes a city is not so much its physical structure but the impression it makes upon its visitors. Set at an artificial reservoir in North Carolina, RESERVOIR (SEVEN FRAGMENTS) is a meditation on the unnatural histories of the American environment. The film approaches both the cinematic image and the landscape it captures as damaged, estranged things—things adrift in a world of irreparable discord.

A strange voice speaks to humans, it tells us, “Come, here I am, before everyone, before you.” Few have listened to it, much less understand what it is trying to tell us.
