The Coyote chases the Road Runner through a maze of mine shafts.

This was the debut for Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. It was also their only cartoon made in the 1940s. It set the template for the series, in which Wile E. Coyote (here given the ersatz Latin name Carnivorous Vulgaris) tries to catch Roadrunner (Accelleratii Incredibus) through many traps, plans and products, although in this first cartoon not all of the products are yet made by the Acme Corporation.

That wascawwy wabbit is chased into a theatre by Elmer Fudd, and ends up having to perform to save himself, as well as convince Elmer to act himself. The vaudeville industry was never this wacky!

Elmer threatens to give his dog a bath if he doesn't stop scratching, but the poor pooch is the victim of a hungry flea whose tools of the trade include pickaxes and dynamite.

A sneaker-wearing, hairy monster chases Bugs through a castle belonging to an evil scientist.

After Acme products fail him one too many times in his dogged pursuit of the Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote decides to hire a billboard lawyer to sue the Acme Corporation.

This arouses the official ire of Fred "the star wearer," and he soundly trounces the half-breed rascal. Now Fred has an intrepid sweetheart. Sally, who is a well-spring of information and is naturally hated by law-breakers. "Injun" Jim gets reinforcements and carries off the girl as a hostage. Fred senses they are making for the mine, so he girds on his guns and goes in the same direction. The desperadoes arrange to "dynamite" Sally, but she cuts the fuse in two by a well aimed shot after they have sought safety at a distance. This saves her sweetheart Fred, who rushes to her rescue, and they both retreat to a cabin. The dynamiters are obstinate and place another cartridge, so that the cabin will be blown to pieces. The daring Fred picks up the keg of powder and rushing out rolls it down on Injun Jim and his fellow mischief-makers. They are so dazed ...

Harold Mortimer is the last of his clan. The old dilapidated castle is all he has left and he urgently needs money for renovation. Until now, he earned his living from tourists. But the ghosts, once helpful in scaring the numerous clientele, are staying away, because the whisky cellar is empty. Without ghosts, there are no tourists, no money, no renovation, no whishy, no ghosts.... a vicious circle. Enraged, he decides to get rid of the ghosts once and for all and chases them back to the graveyard where they once came from. There he meets the cemetery gardener Paolo. The two quickly become friends and decide to go to Spain together. Paaolo even owns a boat... But how will he make it to the sea? Can the enchanted fairy help them?
