A housewife tires of her husband's annoying behavior and returns to her mother. At first, the husband is quite pleased to have the house all to himself. But he quickly discovers that even the most basic domestic chores can be fraught with difficulty.

A young man and a girl get married without love. They are visited by the wife’s cousin and the husband’s cousin. The wife seizes this opportunity and approaches the husband’s cousin to make her husband jealous. The husband also courtes the wife’s cousin to make her jealous.

If all husbands have had similar experiences, it is too bad to harrow them up with the telling of this story. Not wait, as poor Jones did, until the fateful day arrives, and then have a series of unfortunate accidents overtake one and prevent him presenting the present he intended.
