An electric transition. The void left by a vice disguised as false promise to escape, is reclaimed by a new frequency, louder, colder, more transcending: C.R.Y.S.T.A.L. (Cognitive Rupture Yielding Synthetic Trance and Luminality). Through a synesthesia of stroboscopic light and sound pulses that pierce the viewer's consciousness, this short film is a sensorial trance that documents the disintegration of an individual. There's no narrative, only the vibration of a substance that reprograms the body until light is the only thing left within them. A feedback loop where the flash is, at the same time, consumption and the end of being.

Yusef, a first-generation Pakistani engineering student, moves off-campus with a group of Muslim punks in Buffalo, New York. His new "un-orthodox" housemates soon introduce him to Taqwacore: a hardcore, Muslim punk-rock scene that only exists out west. As the seasons change, Taqwacore influences the house more and more. The living room becomes a mosque during the day, while it continues to host punk parties at night. Ultimately, Yusef is influenced by Taqwacore too, as he begins to challenge his own faith and ideologies. 'The Taqwacores' deals with the complexities of being young and Muslim in modern-day America.

As the ruling Georgian Dream Party passed the "Foreign Agent Law" restricting foreign NGOs, demonstrators took to the streets, marching, singing, and dancing in defiance. Metzer 58 play Punk. They were founded in a meet-up at Lebenshilfe Münster, an NGO that provides housing and other services to people with disabilities. The band consists of disabled people and able-bodied people. That doesn't really affect the topic of their songs or the amount of chaos and excess at their gigs, though. In this documentary, director Tobias Stiegler follows the band on tour and paints an intriguing portrait of Metzer 58
