Formed in 1979 in Wichita, Kansas, the so-called "blister pop" band the Embarrassment played major U.S. cities and garnered praise from the likes of Allen Ginsberg, John Cale and Jonathan Demme, but their refusal to compromise their vision made success elusive. Through archival interviews and concert footage, this documentary draws a portrait of the oft-overlooked post-punk legends.

Archive had left us without news for some time, but the London collective returned in 2022 with an album that was a cry from the heart, Call to Arms & Angels, suffocated by an accumulation of alarming events (Brexit, Covid-19, lockdowns, etc.). The band, skilled at blending genres (trip-hop, alternative rock, electro, etc.), transformed this melancholy into lyrical despair and vigorous protest. During their French tour, which ended on November 24, 2023, at the Accor Arena in Paris, Archive, renowned for their spectacular shows, treated themselves to a warm-up tour in Passengers, in the heart of the industrial hall of the Grandes Serres de Pantin. The departure of bands to major companies, Bérurier Noir's lawsuit against its label Bondage, and above all the breakup of the band marked the end of an era.

'It was in San Francisco at a punk festival. I was already high and the air was so thick in the rooms that you could cut it with a knife. I had a photograph camera with me; I stood in a corner of the entrance hall and took 36 pictures on slide film. At home I put the slides into a slide projector. I took out the lens and filmed the slides by filming directly from the projector - using single frames according to a certain plan.'

Indie rock icons the Archers of Loaf reunited in 2011, and during the course of their reunion tour played two legendary concerts at Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill, NC.
