A 6th-century Scandinavian warrior named Beowulf embarks on a mission to slay the man-like ogre, Grendel.

A couple of robbers flee from the police after robbing a bank. Their car breaks down and they are picked up on the road by three touring musicians in their van. They stop in a forest for the night and decide that each musician has to tell a horror story by campfire light. The one who tells the bloodiest story will stay alive.

A greedy King Midas is visited one day by a mysterious visitor who grants him the ability to turn all things he touches to gold. He learns his lesson when the food he tries to eat and his own daughter are turned to gold as well. The visitor reappears and offers him the opportunity to return to his old self, which he gladly does. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2004.

After a brief hesitation, the interview happens and we're taken to everyday situations, that can happen to any "freak" of the city...
