Karthikeyan, a liquor baron, sets out to take back his ancestral house which was usurped by Shekharan. To seek revenge, Karthikeyan abducts Shekharan's daughter and ends up falling in love with her.

Maradonna (Shanthnoo) is an aimless youngster who likes to waste his time doing practically nothing other than fooling around. For him everything in life is Oru Rasam (just fun). He likes to take the easy way out and lacks focus in his life. He is the only son of Joseph (Lalu Alex), a Banker and Mary (Ambika), who dotes on him. Soon he is conned and loses everything after pledging his house to a ‘blade’ moneylender (Salim Kumar).

The film, in Malayalam and made by the Indian film maker K P Kumaran, AkashaGopuram is set among the Indian immigrant community in London and tells the story of Albert Samson (Mohanlal), a middle-aged architect who has clawed his way to prominence.
