We visit the John Deere Tractor Cab and Assembly Operations in Waterloo, Iowa where John Deere makes their biggest tractors, the 9000 Series. We start with pre-assembly, then the new multi-million dollar robotic paint installation, cab assembly, final assembly, wheel and decal installation, and testing. An exclusive, rare look inside the factory where the legendary John Deere tractors are made.

Farmer Tom and Les are busy mending the fencing on the farm but where do the fence posts come from Tractor Ted wonders. He goes off to find out and discovers a gigantic machine that cuts and chops down the trees.

Where do eggs come from? Do you know? Chickens!!! Tractor Ted is off to the farm to see them with his friends Farmer Tom and Midge the dog. Sing along as Farmer Tom fills up the hopper with food for the chickens and watch with Tractor Ted as the farmer checks the engine on the huge tractor with caterpillar tracks. Tractor Ted has fun spinning around in the field with it too! At the end of the day Tractor Ted and Midge tell the children all about it and see the eggs that they have been busy painting.

Tractor Ted shows us lots of huge harvesters and the food they harvest for us and all the animals. Farmer Tom is busy at work on the farm getting in the maize. Luckily the children save the farmer from losing grain from his combine! So many massive machines to see including combine harvester, forage harvester, sugar beet harvester and more.

We cover each step - from metal fabrication, welding, painting, assembly and final inspection - to John Deere Combines being loaded on trucks and trains for delivery all over the world.

Tractor Ted visits more big machines - Pea Harvesters. They are huge and keep working all day and all night. Can the driver really see where he is going in the dark? Also watch ploughs and seed drills hard at work. Fudge the dog gets stuck and luckily Les is there to help.

Tractor Ted joins Farmer Tom who has gone to his friend’s farm to help milk the sheep! Did you know you can get milk from sheep (ewes)? Les has a terrible time trying to keep the sheep still to check its feet and cheeky Midge races about seeing if the sheep can catch her.

Tractor Ted takes a trip to meet some racehorses during the working day of a large stableyard. He sees them on the gallops, having a bath and even one swimming! Out in the fields the hay is being made with big machinery including mowers, turners and balers. The children help load the lorry and cheer the horses on in the big race. A fascinating visit to one of the world's top racing yards.

Where does our bread come from? A trip to Tractorland shows us the ploughing, seeding and harvesting of the corn that is made into flour to make bread. Fantastic scenes of some great machines at work.

Find out what cows are fed and how their meals are prepared with the massive mixer. Farmer Tom and Les get the cows beds ready and then bring them in to get their yummy food. Watch out Farmer Tom; Les becomes a bit forgetful!
