According to local superstition, albino body parts bring wealth and luck; hence witch doctors pay generously for a leg or an arm.

I Am Because We Are is a 2008 documentary film directed by Nathan Rissman and written, narrated, and produced by Madonna through her production company Semtex Films. The film documents the concern over the millions of orphans in the African country of Malawi who have lost parents and siblings to HIV and AIDS, many of whom live on the streets. The folkloric group "Nzale," founded in 1979 in Bangui, practices a traditional dance called "M'baka M'Bokou," which means "strength" and is a symbol of victory. It is a battle dance: each dancer wears the skin of the animal he wishes to incarnate. One dancer stands in the middle of a circle and fights the other dancers who come to confront him one after another.

Réunion Island: An Overview is documentary short film created by Brian Iannone. It is a documentary-style video that features the island of Réunion located in the Indian Ocean. The video shows scenes of the most known natural and tourist attractions in Réunion including its beaches, volcanoes (Piton de la Fournaise) and wildlife such as the "Endormi" chameleon.

Kibera is the largest slum area in Nairobi, and the largest urban slum in Africa. This documentary depicts three important problems; violence, drugs (miraa) and albinos killing.The 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census reports Kibera's population as 170,070, contrary to previous estimates of one or two million people .Most of Kibera slum residents live in extreme poverty, earning less than $1.00 per day. Unemployment rates are high. Persons living with HIV in the slum are many, as are AIDS cases. Cases of assault and rape are common. There are few schools, and most people cannot afford education for their children. Clean water is scarce. Diseases caused by poor hygiene are prevalent.

In 1981, seven Libyan exiles formed the core opposition group to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. Thirty years later, they are back to their country only to inherit the mess he left.
