A successful mod photographer in London whose world is bounded by fashion, pop music, marijuana, and easy sex, feels his life is boring and despairing. But in the course of a single day he unknowingly captures a death on film.

Forced to paint, the artist will either create or be consumed. A modern gothic art film told through a series of striking still images.

A day in the city of Berlin, which experienced an industrial boom in the 1920s, and still provides an insight into the living and working conditions at that time. Germany had just recovered a little from the worst consequences of the First World War, the great economic crisis was still a few years away and Hitler was not yet an issue at the time.

After the mysterious death of his father, Aaron O'Donnell, a ruthless capitalist, decides to take the reins as the leader of Borealis. However, his brother Andrew sets out to hijack his dictatorship and warn not only the residents of Borealis, but all future visitors of the danger Aaron poses.

A "glitch" is a malfunction in a system. Glitch art takes these errors and uses them as moments of aesthetic revelation. Interruptus is a glitch film, comprised completely of strategically halted downloads of digital videos. These broken files are then transformed into a stunning fugue of abstract texture. The Internal Void of a Damaged Mind

"I was visiting Jerome Hill. Jerome loved France, especially Provence. He spent all his summers in Cassis. My window overlooked the sea. I sat in my little room, reading or writing, and looked at the sea. I decided to place my Bolex exactly at the angle of light as what Signac saw from his studio which was just behind where I was staying, and film the view from morning till after sunset, frame by frame. One day of the Cassis port filmed in one shot." -JM

A person spends some time in a room

Elaborate petal-like and multicolored flowers rising in white space until the whole field is as if crushed by floral designs in madly-swift mixtures of every conceivable previous shape from the Persian Series. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2013.

By subjecting fragments from the film 'Rashomon' by Akira Kurosawa to the mirror effect, Provost creates a hallucinating scene of a woman's reverse chrysalis into an imploding butterfly. Papillon d'amour produces skewed reflections upon love, its lyrical monstrosities and wounded act of dissappearance.

Roads fall into the sea and a travelogue breaks against the landscape.

A short film made in response to returning to home during the Covid pandemic from 2020-2021. A series of vignettes capturing the serene countryside, juxtaposed with a personal voiceover, "Messages From Home" is a meditation on youth, belonging and the capitalist construction of time.

Frame... within a frame... within a frame... poetic... dark and tragic...

Set in Munich's petty-bourgeois Westend, film documents life at home with former Fassbinder actor, Warhol collaborator, and horror movie director Ulli Lommel. Rather than a straight documentary portrait of this bohemian household, the camera prefers to follow the narrative impulses of the family members. Lost in serious play, the kids improvise hypnotic death scenes while their mother claims to come from a planet where everything is "ethereal and incorporeal." As parent-child relations are unscripted and re-scripted on the fly, the dilated time of a collective daydream is punctuated by the ordinary sounds of an electric toothbrush, vacuum cleaner, and piano.

This short film follows a man lost in the woods driven by his fear of the unknown.
