Quintessential alternative rockers, Sonic Youth, celebrate free-form experimentalism while reinforcing their performance-art driven tradition in this Soundstage performance, recorded on May 7, 2003 at WTTW Grainger Studio in Chicago. The band, which settles just outside the realm of definition, delivers a part rock, part free-form noise, part avant-garde punk performance which features a new song "Sympathy for the Strawberry."

Influenced by early punk and rock bands such as MC5, Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Damned, The Stooges and The Heartbreakers as well as heavier bands such as Venom, Blue Cheer and Motorhead the bands debut album - Hellacopters have made quite a name for themselves in Europe and Australia

In the winter of 2011, after a controversial election, Vladimir Putin was reinstalled as president of Russia. In response, hundreds of thousands of citizens rose up all over the country to challenge the legitimacy of Putin’s rule. Among them were a group of young, radical-feminist punk rockers, better known as Pussy Riot. Wearing colored balaclavas, tights, and summer dresses, they entered Moscow’s most venerated cathedral and dared to sing “Mother Mary, Banish Putin!” Now they have become victims of a “show” trial.

The inception and ascent of Seattle-based post-punk band the Gits, whose rise to prominence was cut short by the shocking rape and murder of their fiery lead singer, Mia Zapata, in 1993. Featuring performance footage and reflective interviews with the remaining members of the Gits, O'Kane's labor of love celebrates Zapata's memory and the group's enduring legacy.

A short film released alongside AFI's 2003 album Sing The Sorrow. The four members of AFI search to obtain a mysterious box that bears a resemblance to the album's artwork. There are two separate soundtracks for the film, one composed by AFI guitarist Jade Puget, and one composed by AFI bassist Hunter Burgan.

Before Bad Brains, the Sex Pistols or even the Ramones, there was Death. Formed in the early '70s by three teenage brothers from Detroit, Death is credited as being the first black punk band, and the Hackney brothers, David, Bobby, and Dannis, are now considered pioneers in their field. But it wasn’t until recently — when a dusty 1974 demo tape made its way out of Bobby’s attic nearly 30 years after Death’s heyday — that anyone outside a small group of punk enthusiasts had even heard of them.

In this one-hour documentary, we get to follow one of Sweden's most influential punk bands. During their active period 1978-86 they played in every single hole and sold lots of records, yet it was silent about them in the media. Although it's been twenty years since they stopped playing, they have always been discovered by new fans. In 2003, Asta Kask picks up the instruments again - not to be reunited but to take revenge on everyone who has been deceiving them over the years. The Gothenburg films Erik Kolthoff and Staffan Danielsson have followed the band during their revenge tour. Interviews about Asta Kask and the punk movement are mixed with old and new live material.
