The battle for accessibility in New York City Transit told by those fighting it. Less than a quarter of stations in the city's sprawling subway system are accessible to people with disabilities and those that need elevators. This film takes you on the frontlines of the disability rights movement featuring the perspectives of activists, local and state legislators, transit advocates and MTA officials.

Numerous people are on subway trains running up and down the city center endlessly. There are people who run this decent space “underground”. Under the noisy world today, we approach them to see what life is like underground.

In the 1930’s, the workers of the underground, headed by brigades of writers, are in charge to write in real time "the history of the Moscow Metro". Based on their narratives, partially unpublished, the film recounts the first lines construction of the most beautifiul underground in the world, in the light of this "big literary Utopia", stoped by the purges of 1937-38.

In the mid 1800s, New York City was one of the most crowded places on earth. The congested streets and pokey transportation system were a source of constant complaint. On March 24, 1900, ground was broken for the Big Apple's subway; the Interborough Rapid Transit Line opened four years later, running more than 26 miles of underground track at the speed of 35 miles per hour. Soon thousands in the city were "doing the subway."

On New York’s packed subways, violations of personal space are unavoidable—an inevitability that emboldens more predatory behavior. Underground brings these stories into the light.

This film is a portrait of New York in the 1980s by famed photographer Steven Siegel, including footage of the subways, the parks, Times Square and other neighborhoods. The film is narrated by teenagers of that era.

A look into the creation of the film Moebius. Featuring exclusive behind the scenes footage, interviews with the cast and crew, and a look at the film's shooting locations and media coverage. The original cut of this documentary was lost long ago, but 27 years after it's creation, it was reconstructed from footage recovered and remastered taken from various restored VHS, Betacam SP, MiniDV, and DigiBeta tapes. A final version faithful to the original was successfully re-edited under the supervision of Moebius director Gustavo Mosquera R. and released online. Along with the version in Spanish, a version dubbed in English was also released.

Profiles the culture, lifestyles, and rituals within the New York City subways.

The camera platform was on the front of a New York subway train following another train on the same track. Lighting is provided by a specially constructed work car on a parallel track. At the time of filming, the subway was only seven months old, having opened on October 27, 1904. The ride begins at 14th Street (Union Square) following the route of today's east side IRT, and ends at the old Grand Central Station, built by Cornelius Vanderbuilt in 1869. The Grand Central Station in use today was not completed until 1913.
